Popular Post grandpa
Today I went to Khon Kaen Immigration Office to do my annual Visit for extension of Non O Visa on grounds of retirement. I prepared 2 copies of all my paperwork including 12 months Bangkok Bank statements with Foreign Transfers in, highlighted. When I got to the office I was surprised how empty it was for a Friday at 11:00 a.m. ! Within 3 minutes I was called to a desk where I presented my bundle of papers to the IO. She went through each of the necessary forms and assorted inclusions, then added up the totals of each months foreign transfers. I offered her the 2nd copy bundle, but was told that only one copy was needed! I paid the required fee of 1900 baht and she handed my passport to her supervisor to endorse, asking me to wait for a few minutes. Within a couple of minutes the IO called me back to her desk, and handed me my passport with a new extension stamp and a new 90 day report slip, which I hadn't even asked for! The whole process took about 12 minutes! and as I live reasonably close to the office, I was back home 40 minutes after I left it. My wife thought that I had forgotten something! :-) It has never been this rapid! Thank you Khon Kaen Immigration. 15

How many transfers do you do per month. Is this from pension or..? Clearly the io was not interested in source of income?
Popular Post lungbing
I had the same experience at Khon Kaen three weeks ago, including the new 90 report which wasn't due for weeks yet. My next date is the 5th December which I told the officer was Fathers Day which surprised him that I knew. He said to come earlier or later. (I would have had to anyway, it's a Sunday.) The officer checked my monthly income in a summary I had prepared against the year's bank statement, checked the other forms were present but didn't check the form's contents and that was it. I was not asked for the origin of my income, although I had proof with me. I was impressed and relieved. Khon Kaen have only ever required one copy of paperwork. I take a second copy, but that's for my files and forms the basis to check against next year's application. 3
