Popular Post webfact
PHOTO: Siamrath By Nop Meechukhun Khon Kaen – An American suspect originally from Colorado who was under Thai police custody for allegedly raping and assaulting a masseuse in late September has reportedly confessed to all allegations to Khon Kaen police today, October 4th, and investigators are opposed to any bail at this point of the investigation, believing the suspect would be a flight risk. 37-year old suspect Robert G. was arrested after a five-day search at a Bangkok condominium on Saturday, October 2nd, after reportedly attacking and raping a 45-year-old massage therapist at a massage shop on September 27th. He was transferred back to Khon Kaen yesterday for detention while an additional twelve-day detention request was proposed to the Thai courts. Mr. Robert G. is also facing charges involving an incident of allegedly exposing himself and attempting to force himself onto a young, underage girl the same day who was selling honey at a streetside stall. Mr. G. is claiming, so far, that he was under the influence of illegal drugs, primarily speed, which caused him to commit his actions. Police Colonel Preecha Kengsarikit, chief of the Mueang Khon Kaen station, revealed to the associated Thai press today that Mr. G. was so far facing three charges, including physical assault, rape, and illegal detention. Popular Post HappyGoLuckyLife
I wonder if the remand is to also give the young lady currently on a respirator a change to recover enough to give her statement. I would be interested in her account of what happened.

Hide at Mom's house. Get caught because hiding at Mom's house is stupid. Bail money forfeit. In the case of this American, he doesn't have a Mom's house in Thailand thereby screwing up a perfectly working system. Bail denied. 2

In that case they will probably tell her what to say.

Thailand
It appears he has admitted to the offences commited whilst under the influence of drugs. Not a lot to investigate if that is the case.

That's a-bit like saying "I was drunk when I caused the accident" I'm really innocent of all charges. 6

The 12 yr old who he attempted to also rape gave a very detailed graphic account of what he did to her, plus the Truck driver who stopped and helped the girl was an eye witness. Apart from being a flight risk, he is a risk to any female everywhere, child or adult. There is NO excuse for what he did, or what he is capable of.

No, it was his choice to take speed/meth, he wasn't forced, his choices caused this disgusting crime spree.

Why put her through the pain of telling everyone. 6 hours ago, webfact said: reportedly confessed to all allegations to Khon Kaen police today

In a court hearing the defence may argue it was a forced confession, etc and there is the risk of it being ruled out as evidence. It is always prudent to get statements and other evidence. Happens in Western courts (signed confessions ruled inadmissible).

So why grant him bail at all?
