They already said that most schools are opening on November 1st so how does this work then? I’m all schools, there are going to be  lot of students getting together both for lessons and during breaks so now they’re not reopening schools or…??

Well, make perfectly sense.

After that pr1kc of a tourism clown had to inch back on his hilarious New Years Eve activity announcement with a Thai teenie screaming Korean songs and an Italian opera tenor - no public gatherings are in the pipeline anyhow.

Our sons school has been reopened since last week, most others are set to open in the Nov 1st. Dependent on age and grade though I think as at our sons school, junior school is still on line until the 7th Nov where they, so far, have beeen allowed to reinstate the attended on site learning. One person (student) already discovered with Covid-19 and the school have done nothing except send the child home, they’d been at school for 3 days already feeling unwell, 4th day they were given a Covid-19 apk test at school, she was found to be positive and they just called her parents to take her home, no letter to classmates or other students parents informing them that a student had been found with the virus or anything else!!

Does "gatherings" include pubs and clubs, concerts, football games, etc? I would say unmasked partiers indoors are more likely to spread virus than masked protesters outside. Why don't they just "ban protests" and be done with it.

They are alreaqding gathering at friend;'s houses already, And unmasked. Our school is shut until at least late Nov. as many teachers still need to get their second vacc. Probably a good idea to wait and see how things pan out for schools that will be opening Monday. As teachers, we will need an atk every 2 weeks. No idea if the students will do the same. It seems they think kids will catch virus from teachers, and not the other way around!.

What will be the future ? Brainwashed and remote controlled ...? Personal infos incl. financials all accessed by government hackers and used to blackmail people ?

You forgot artificial intelligence. A piece of computer code will become a sentient being and most probably decide that humans are superfluous and need to be eliminated.

We must urgently  harvest the DNA  of "Arnie" then send the Mandalorian back to Kamino to grow a new clone army to fight for the survival of all humanity ????

All activities aside from huddling in your home eating only food you have grown yourself increase the chance of spreading COVID.  This is a thoughtless desperate attempt to quite protesters but could be used by any local BIB to extract a "look the other way fee" for any number of people in a group together in the country since there is no quantity or other definition of what constitutes a "gathering".

Armed Forces Commander General Chalermpol Srisawat, who is in charge of overseeing security during the current “emergency situation”, issued a ban on Thursday on public gatherings or activities which may risk the spread of COVID-19 or increase public suffering.

The armed forces commander can do such a thing? Jeepers. Is there no civilian government here to do that? Seems like martial law.

You are aware that there has not been a civilian government in Thailand since the coup, right? ????

Presumably they will not go ahead.

Well Pattaya seemed gung-ho but not the first time. Looking at new restrictions I think group meetings of 200 are now allowed in Chonburi, which makes The Expats Clubs a possibility.

No gatherings.... 30.000 people on Suvarnabhumi on  Monday... rows waiting for immigration desks..... School open on Monday... many students in a crowded schoolbus, schoolyard, and at lunch time.... Funerals and parties in the temple for katina festival.....Overcrowded shoppingmalls.... How will they inforce such a stupid announcement?? Throw everybody in jail or fine everybody?? Than a lockdown was better.....Or is it just to prevent the protestors gathering???But than the police has to o to jail too.. They are standing very close to eachother, shoulder to shoulder and several rows, That is dangerous too for spreading the virus.. Oh no double standards.....

In Australia many activities were suspended like going to the pub , dancing in nightclubs etc where there may have been 100 or so people ....BUT football and sporting events went ahead with crowds in the 10's of thousands. Recently shops in Melbourne could open but only to sell from the street ...you were NOT allowed inside the shop. NOW , the new rule is that from 13th Nov all workers in hospitality MUST have had a immunisation jab or they CANNOT work . Also , Australians were prohibited from leaving the country ....unless you were a politician, film star or sports person of course.
