Documents for "Test & Go" · Passport · Thai Visa (if required) · Certificate of Vaccination · Paid AQ / SHA+ hotel reservation confirmation (for the duration of 1 day and including the fee for one RT-PCR test) · Insurance with minimum coverage of 50,000 USD there was a place to type in the arrival flight(s), but don't need to upload a flight itinerary or receipt. My itinerary is JFK-HEL-BKK. On my first app (still awaiting notification of approval or rejection) I only listed the final HEL-BKK leg, which contradicted with my departure location (JFK in New York). When I resubmitted, I kept JFK as my departure point but I listed both flights, JFK-HEL and HEL-BKK. Only the second application (submitted 3 days later) was approved. I am NOT saying it's because of this reason as I changed a bunch of stuff, but I think this is a better way to do it. That's more of an answer than you asked for but maybe it helps others.

I didn't think this was why you asked previously but as far as I can tell, yeah you could do this. As I write above, all you need to do it to type in the flights, not upload any proof that the fights were ever booked. You could just go to travelocity and find any flights that work and type the flight numbers in I suppose. My hotel did ask for my flight info though before they issued the letter I uploaded, as the letter included the flight numbers, airport pickup and PCR test stuff, but again I guess I could have told them any flights even though I did send a real itinerary. I'm staying at the JW Marriott in Bangkok, so it's a big high profile hotel and I just went through all this with them and got my TP. They did not do this in the way you describe. I am sure they have their <deleted> together as far as working with Thailand Pass. I booked on marriott.com, the big corporate web site isn't set up for Thailand Pass but I selected and paid for the special Test & Go rate that is specifically set up for Thailand Pass. I immediately got a reservation confirmation, but it didn't have the details for Thailand Pass yet. So it wasn't good enough for upload. But the booking was done first. The hotel immediately emailed me and asked for a bunch of info, including my flight details. They did NOT ask for a flight itinerary or receipt, they just wanted the airline, flight number, and arrival time. I could have just pulled some info from any flight off travelocity or any web site. In my case I used my real booked/paid for flight info but they didn't know that. I did not provide a flight reservation number. Using the info I provided they sent me a letter on their letterhead that had all the Thailand Pass info, including the airport pickup, quarantine info, and the RT-PCT Test info at Bumrungrad Hospital. I uploaded this letter and it worked as I got my TP. Bottom line: as far as I can tell, you don't need to actually book a flight, but I did.

Thanks for your help Some airlines allow 72hr reserve flight (and lock in price) for $10-$25, this might be enough time to align all the other requirements without committing to the flight, this option mainly appears directly on the airline websites - singapore airline, BA, srilankan etc.. Alternatively many airlines are offering free flight changes, BA, Singapore, Emirates, Qatar, SriLankan known to me, and probably the others, again this option is usually only available via the airlines directly, OTA will do it too with their "change fees" added unless you purchase their pointless flexibility packages (gotogate, budgetair, travelgate etc..) Popular Post Jsalaya
Hi everyone, Many thanks to those who have been posting about their experiences applying for the Thailand pass in this forum - it’s been a great help for me trying to navigate the system. Just received my QR code this afternoon so I thought it’s only right for me to pay it forward! I’ll try to give as much details as possible without being too long winded. Hopefully, this will help someone else who’s trying to apply for the Thailand pass. A bit of background information - Singaporean, 2 doses of the Pfizer vaccine, AXA covid insurance and a hotel booking at Somerset Rama 9 Bangkok. Submitted my application four times and received the QR approval codes three times. I first submitted my application on the 5th of November - I picked the Test and Go option, staying for 80 days, SHA hotel, flying on TG and used my gmail account. I also separated the vaccination certificate given by the Singapore Ministry of Health into 2 parts - the first page with all the vaccination details and cropped out the QR code individually. Like many others have said, the system was not working on chrome, so I made the first application on my phone using screenshots of my documents. Given the previous size limit of 2MB, I choose to minimize the size of my jpeg files and only submitted the hotel booking confirmation without the paid receipt that they issued to me - the fine print stated that the package included 1 RT-PCR test and an ART test kit, and that full payment has been made - these details will become relevant later. 1st attempt - confirmation email was received about 5 mins after I submitted my application. Subsequently, I received an email from Thailand pass on Sunday the 7th of November stating that my application was rejected due to “Please upload paid hotel reservation confirmation that includes RT-PCR test” 2nd attempt - I merged the hotel booking confirmation together with the paid receipt issued to me and highlighted the fine print on the booking confirmation which states that the package includes 1 RT-PCR test in red. Submitted using the Microsoft edge browser this time as chrome was still not working and received the confirmation email shortly after. Yesterday (8th of November), I received another email rejection due to “Please upload the hotel documents clearly.” 3rd attempt - Taking advantage of the new size limit of 5MB, I converted the pdf files into better quality jpegs and resubmitted my application again - I still merged the hotel booking confirmation with the paid receipt and highlighted the fine print in red. Received the confirmation email as per usual and 2 QR approval quotes in quick succession 2 hours later at 2pm. Was massively relieved to have gotten the QR approval codes and was glad to have it all sorted out… until I received an email from Thai Airways saying that they had cancelled my flight to Bangkok on the 17th of November at 5pm. I called the Thai airways Singapore office and the lady informed me that they have not been operating flights to Singapore since the pandemic started! Now, I had 2 options: 1) To get a refund - which would take 180 days or 2) To get an open ticket valid for a year. To say that I was immensely frustrated would be an understatement - If they were not operating flights, why did they allow me to book and PAY for the ticket?? Long story short, I opted for the open ticket and rebooked flights for the same dates on SQ. Given that we had to submit the flight number on the Thailand Pass website, I tried to call the Thai consular support hotline to check if the QR code I had received earlier was still valid… 21 attempted calls (19 failed calls, only 3 was able to reach the automated system) and 65 mins of waiting later, I was still not able to speak to anyone. Also tried to reach out via their email ([email protected]) but did not receive any replies. Decided to resubmit my application using the new flight details. 4th attempt - Parameters unchanged except for flight number. Received my email confirmation at 6pm last night and a NEW QR approval code (different Thai Pass ID) at 3pm this afternoon. Very happy to have received the QR code and keeping my fingers crossed that everything else works out successfully on the 17th. Apologies for the wordy post, but will be glad to answer any questions you guys have on my experience with the system! 1

I am seeking confirmation and will post when (if) I get it. The ambiguity and wiggle room left my insurance companies commonly plays in their failure. IF I my PCR test is positive (asymptomatic), I will suddenly come down with symptoms, lost of smell, tightness of chest, shortness of breath, headache... I will also demand a second followup PCR test as confirmation. This ‘should’ be good enough to ensure that the Insurance company cannot wiggle out of paying for ‘isolation / treatment’. But, if we are taken to a Hospitel (isolation hotel / hospital-hotel) I’m not sure if the insurance would deem that as ‘treatment’ and instead consider it ‘isolation’ or ‘quarantine’ which I’m sure they’d wiggle out of paying.

The application was accepted and I received my confirmation email immediately. Lets hope they understand the problem (only 1 certificate) when they check my application. They fixed the Janssen issue about 24 hours after launch. Now, when you select Janssen, the Dose 2 block is hidden, as it should be.

Due diligence is oft overlooked, it's more important than ever in these times. AXA has numerous reports of paying out, it's annotated as covering asymptomatic positive tests here, and the reply I got when asking the question of an agent was: "we fully cover any expenses due to a positive covid test. End of story. No gray area or fine print" If at any time I intend going with them, I'd still want it formally in writing on letter head.

You select your entry type and are then presented with a set of relevant terms and conditions for entry - obviously I accepted them. The terms and conditions that I agreed to contained a statement exactly the same as that which I posted last night: I acknowledge and accept that, upon my arrival and during my stay in Thailand: I shall be subject to entry screening measures for respiratory symptoms and temperature measurement for fever at the Port of Arrival through which I am entering Thailand; 2. I will directly travel from my port of arrival to my reserved accommodation via a designated sealed route; 3. I will be responsible for all relevant costs associated with COVID-19 diagnostic tests by RT-PCR technique at locations designated by the Thai Government. I shall undertake the first test upon my arrival in Thailand and should I stay in the Sandbox Programme for 7 days, I shall undertake a second test during the 6th-7th day or as required or deemed necessary by the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand. 3.1 I will undertake additional test(s) from Clause no. 3 based on the basis of the condition below: ๐ If I stay in the Sandbox programme less than 7 days, I shall take the second test during the 6th-7th day of my stay or as required by the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand 4. It does however, state in 3. that those entering under the Sandbox scheme will have to take a test on day 6 or 7. I signed up for Exemption from Quarantine and as per the conditions above, I don't expect to be required to take any further tests. Some embassies, consulates and hotels also seem to have got this mixed up - hardly surpising given the variations in information that exist. I don't know if you're a drunk or a troll but you often come on here arguing with people, yet on the occasions you're asked to back up your statements, you simply go quiet - troll behaviour. I had to get my GP to accelerate the 2nd shot due to overseas travel. I would assume that most others getting approval from the UK will have their government mandated 8-week gap between shots? The US works to the manufacturer's original 4-week shot gap, same as Thailand. There's no stated limits on the TP application regarding the shot gap, just need the 2 shots and be fully vaccinated.
