Do The Frequent Posters Scare Off Newbies?

Featured Replies

I have been accused by some of my "friends" of posting too much.

Or at least posting with a know all attitude.

And that I was scaring off newbies.

I usually try to post an opinion, not always what I think.

And I do not know much.

And I'm not the only one, we're quite a few frequent posters.

Does it bother you?

No, bluecat, keep it coming, unless you have your appointment with the psychiatrist for treatment against forumnitical addiction.

I have no problems with newbies, (or old bees). Right or wrong (IMHO), I just tell them what I think, often using the name (copy and paste) to address them personally.

Feel this makes a warmer welcome and helps to overcome some scare.

No, bluecat, keep it coming

Your opinion does not count, axel.

You're also a frequent poster,... :o:D

Meo culpa, that's how I learned about

forumnitical addiction. :D

OK, I try to get off soon, have to prepare for Sweden tonight.

We're going to divert again from the original topic.

And my topic. :o

Ok, maybe I do not mind :D

But, what about Sweden?

Aren't you German?

bluecat ,there you go again(posting ) those of us who frequent this site regularly know you cant help yourself :o after all neither can we :D

Yohan, weren't you supposed not to post anymore?

I mean this is what you said.

So please do not hijack my thread,...

Joking, Yohan.

And I mean it,... :o

YES :o (i wish i knew how to get a qoute on to a post ) :D i suppose a lack of education really does show !!

"Yohan, weren't you supposed not to post anymore?"

He's worried I might become supermember before him...

Seriously, when I first joined, I didn't understand where some of the bickering of 'older' members originated and what they are referring to.

But I have become guilty of this myself since.

That is an initial hurdle. I don't mind frequent posters per se.

Yohan, the threat is about scaring off newbies.

Neither in this forum nor in Moshi-Moshi-country you are a newbie.

The volume of your posts is, of course, in a reciprocal relation to the quantity.

As I said, 'short is sexy' and it brings you to bluecats stage of scaring the....

Am I off topic again? Not really, say what you have to say, if you can, cut it short.

Brings me back to the thread, lots of short (or not so long) posts do not scare off anybody, IMHO of course.

...And my topic. :o

Ok, maybe I do not mind :D

But, what about Sweden?

Aren't you German?

What was the topic? Ah scaring off.

At the moment I am a Sweden fan. Yesterday, Les bleu adieus,

by Charisteas from Werder Bremen.

Tonight "Holland goede bye Zweden zal doen".

So let the Swedes do the job to scare off (on topic somehow? :D ) the Dutch,

than the world is in order again.

And I am a Greece-fan, after all they want to make "Rehakle the Greek" to be their King.

Scaring off the people "by your know all attitude"? Hardly, look at your previous bet or non-bet, that was not know all :D

I dont think newbies mind.

hmmmm ???

I think you do.

Yes there are.

No.

Posted in "Bluecat" style, (a poor imatation though) :o

those yellow eyes are pretty scary!

perhaps a little fury creature like axel's would be less scary. :o

Maybe if you shaved the cat he would'nt be so scary! :D

If you took off the blouse, your avatar wouldn't be so teasing!

As for mine, headaches developing after staring at it are intentional.

Two days ago i was a newbee ...

And I am not at all scared by any of your "old-timers"

I appreciate you guys helping me with all your experience so I can survive easier here in my new country of Thailand ...

Interesting Blue, add me to the list here. I guess we old foggies are indeed getting gray hair here. Is there any Grecian formula to tidy us up a bit before we hit the tank with the shrink???????

Me always being accused of being a dregger of sorts, a rambler or some cowboy singing the country blues.

Daveyo :D:o:D

Can't wait to hear Dr. PP's reply which should happen soon!!!!!!!!

Daveyo :D:o:D

That is you allright Dave. At least you can always be relied on to never let the facts interfere with a good story.

I'm a newbie and I most certainly do not mind that anyone posts frequently!! Why would I? Post away, Bluecat! (and other frequent posters!) :o

I made up my mind.

Do not confuse me with facts.

Applies to a few of us.

Me included.

Sometimes,... :o

Ole Blue does not need much encouragement in that regard.

True, Dr.

But why don't they post more?

I mean, everybody else?

Is it that difficult?

Or am I the only one who posts without having anything to say? :o

If some of you guys stop posting, this would not be such an addictive place anymore. :o

This is not addictive.

I do not think so.

It is only addictive if you want it to be.

Well, like any other addiction I guess,.... :o:D
