Hi,

I'm applying for a STV and it allows me to stay in the country for 3 months, and then extendable 2 times. My plan is to stay ~5.5 months and this also the length of my air tickets and insurance.

The STV have a requirement that I need to show my booking post-Quarantine. Would it be OK if I produce 3 months (the original length of the STV) or am I forced to show ~5.5 months of bookings?

This embassy website only mentions $700 that is the equivalent of the standard 20k need to apply for most other visas.

"2.5 Copy of recent bank statement ($700 per person and $1,500 per family).  The name of the applicant must be indicated clearly), In case of submitting a family bank statement, proof of relationship (i.e. birth certificate, marriage certificate) must be provided."

It should be the same at all embassies but you need to confirm it with it at the embassy where you will be applying.

For the accommodations  it states this.

"2.11 Evidence of long-stay accommodation: either

  • A fully paid hotel reservation in Thailand for the whole duration of intended stay in Thailand (after quarantine). The reservation must be issued by the hotel showing the duration of stay, and hotel’s contact details and tax ID number;"

I heard you only need to confirm paid accommodation for the first 90 days of your STV visa.  Then later, if you apply for a 90 day extension, you would confirm paid accomodate for the next 90-days.  It's possible that, they might give you a shorter extention if you have proof of a flight departing Thailand in less than 90 days.  Maybe you could call the Thai embassy or consultate near you to confirm this.
