Root Canal Treatment In Bangkok.

Featured Replies

Hi there, I'm currently staying in a outer suburb on the eastern side of Bangkok. I had a very painful dental problem which the dentist recommended root canal therapy. A quote for this service wasn't provided. I looked around but I couldn't find another dental surgery in the vicinity. Has anyone had this treatment in an area where most charges are less than around the Bangkok city centre? I'm on antibiotics and the original pain has gone but it appears a root canal is required as a clean up to reduce any chances of a recurrence. Thanks,

it is not going to be cheap no matter where you go and there is not that much difference across places as the bulk of the cost is for the prosthetic crown.

If you do see big variations in cost, be wary as the cheaper places may be planning in using an inferior type of crown.

Best dental facility near you is the Dental Hospital on Onnut.   http://www.dentalhospitalbangkok.com/contact.php

Least expensive option is the Mahidol Dental Clinic which is government facility but in the heart of Bangkok

But for root canal the cost difference will not be that much, as mentioned, due to the need for a prosthetic crown. Few thousand baht at most is my best guess and in exchange you'll have longer waits and longer trip. wait may be especially long now as services were curtailed for many months due to COVID.

I had an abscess in my gum from a cracked tooth.

Had a root canal and temporary filling around 5Kbht (price has probably gone up a bit by now).

Was supposed to go back for a stump and crown but never did.

Temporary filling still working perfectly 10 years later.
