Came across a farang yesterday in the 7-11 who obviously is in denial. He failed the temp check, but ignored the servers protestations to test again and went straight in to find his purchases while being vocal. I felt like keeping my distance if this guy is reading hot...While paying he was banging on about how it is all BS.... mask on, but below nose.

Not fair on the staff in these places really. He tried to engage me and my comment of 'With over 5 million dead and buried, I am going along with it'... and his response is 'Well you better stay clear, as I am not vaccinated'..... Imagine what the daily numbers of positives in Thailand would be if they used Denmark's test strategy.

If my memory is correct we spent more than 20 billion kroner in 2 years which is approx 100 billion baht on just PCR/quick test in a 5.8 million population.

Israel is just getting over a very large surge and Singapore is currently right in the middle of a very large surge in cases. The surges in Singapore and Israel would have been much, much larger and more devastating if the two countries didn’t have such high vaccination rates.  Why do anti-vaxxers have such a hard time understanding such basic logic?

The reason we wear masks and every healthy person is being treated as if they are a disease carrier is simply because apparently the majority of people who get it have no symptoms. That's what my own eyes and ears are telling me - all the people I know who contracted this terrible disease were fine within a day or two.

 

The only reason we were supposed to get the vaccines to prevent the health system from being overloaded (because 2 years in, they still haven't beefed it up). Since the health systems are being overloaded in countries with 75-90% of the adult pop vaxxed, it seems the vaccines are pointless.

 

The smart thing would have been to give them to the people that need it (elderly + immunocompromised), let the rest of us get on with our lives and contract natural immunity. Diamond princess cruise ship results already told us most of us have cross reactivity and some immunity.

First off, the YouTube video shows someone who later admitted they made a mistake in describing the statistical process for mortality. Same with the UK, their methodology for overnight mortality numbers is different than their process for generating death certificates.
