I was thinking of all my previous flights to Thailand and on the new Tourist Visa application I put my arrival as 1 day after my departure instead of 2 days after. But, I will only be there for 45 days so does it really matter? I will depart USA on Jan 5 and actually arrive 6:00am on Jan 7 and stay 45 days. So I put somewhere that they asked that I needed Tourist 60 day Visa from Jan 6. If I put that I needed it to start later than arrival, I could see that would be no good but 1 day earlier could be ok? right? I have not received answer from them yet.

The visa will be valid to use for 3 months from the date they issue it. And you can stay for 60 days maximum.

So as long as you get the visa you don't have a problem.

Happy travels

The start and end dates on your Visa stamp/sticker are important. Arrival any day in between these dates (dates included) will be ok.
