Thai woman arrested in connection with 40 million baht fire at Nakhon Pathom oil depot

Daily News reported that a 38 year old woman called Sirasinee has been arrested after the massive fire in Nakhon Pathom in central Thailand that destroyed the Prapakorn Oil depot. 

 

More than 100,000 liters of engine oil went up in the blaze in Sam Pran district.

 

Ten houses were damaged along with cables and wires and oil seeped into a public klong. 

 

Forty million baht in damage was assessed.

 

Phokaew and provincial police detained the suspect who was injured in the conflagration. 

 

She is a depot manager for Prapakorn Oil. 

 

Police said they had CCTV evidence that the suspect was alone in the depot when the fire started. Daily News said it was started with paper.

 

Further details will be given when a press conference is convened today (Wednesday) at 10.30 am at Nakhon Pathom provincial police HQ.
