MC . You are not very clear but I assume you mean those electric water coolers with the big bottles of water on top.

The best thing I ever bought. Got fed up with filling up bottles of water and putting them in the fridge.

Can buy them at Home Pro, Tesco and most electric stores. They are all about the same and cost around 3 or 4 thousand Baht.

The 20 litre bottles of water cost between 10 and 15 Baht depending on where you buy them. Just look out for a truck delivering them and ask them to deliver to you or can usually buy them at you local shop.

Keep Cool

Sorry I live in Thailand so have never left one for some time but they all see to be the same design

As for the window insect nets. There must be lots of supliers in Samui and they are really cheap. Ask around your Thai neighbours.

When you find a baby sitter maybe you will need someone to give her a lift home every day . :o:D

Well, here in Japan, we all need mosquito nets...........and most makers are very pro.......so now when Im used to good quality, I dont want to ask anybody, since I know the result..........thats why I asked here......

Ofcorse I need a driver for the babysitter.........Im not going to loose any heads.... :D:D:D

The nets I have seen here, are very basic.Mounted on a frame that fits the exixting window.I've been to Bangkok & seen some really good quality ones that retract within the frame,so you don't even see the mountings ,but they were asking around Bht4,500 a square meter including frame.

They have several types for different window openings & doors. Will try & find address for you .

Big C,

most water out of a well in Samui contains Iron.I have an oxygenation tank, oxidisation filter & carbon filter to extract any matter or smells that are left.If I want to, I can install a small water filter near the tap & drink it.

I know a man that can set it up for you, depends on water test & what your requirements are.If you need his # PM me.

Cheers.

:o please start your own thread, if you want information, thanks. :D

Speaking of skeeter nets, why hel_l don't Thai's use a screen door? All the windows are covered with screens but if a screen door was used in conjunction with the normal hard door then air/wind would still come in but keep the nasties outside. I'm thinking of having one made at my house as I leave my door open almost all the time (except for when asleep) and I could then enjoy the breeze without having to chase bugs around my house all day.

That's the point........but many of the screens looks terrible, and it can destroy the look of your house......also I dont want to pay for some crap, that get broken second time you use it........

Still hope to hear from some who know where to get them ......... :o

another excellent choice is to have an above ground water storage tank ... pump from the well to that .... let it settle and draw from the top of the tank into the house.

Filthy water even if not used for drinking ... is nasty to bathe in as well as you'll never have clean laundry!
