According to the Da Nang Department of Tourism, five accommodation establishments (Vinpearl Condotel Riverfront Da Nang, Vinpearl Resort and Spa, Risemount Hotel,Muong Thanh Luxury Da Nang Hotel and Vinpearl Luxury Resort), three tourist areas/spots (the Marble Mountains, the Museum of Cham Sculpture and Sun World Ba Na Hills) and nine tourist transport service providers are allowed to join the first phase of the pilot project to welcome international visitors starting from November 20, 2021.

According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Binh, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, to be eligible for welcoming international guests back, tour operators and service providers as mentioned above must meet strict requirements.

In detail, tour operators shall obtain international travel business licences.

Meanwhile, tourism service establishments such as accommodation and catering facilities and golf courses are required to ensure that 100% of the total employees have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccines.

The ‘three-on-the-spot’ (on-site working, on-site dining and on-site resting) production model for their employees who oversee receiving and serving international delegations must be carried out.

Also, 100% of the employees must be tested for COVID-19 by the RT - PCR method immediately after receiving and serving guests.

Accommodation facilities must arrange a separate reception channel to welcome international guests.

Besides, all the employees must comply with the 5K rules in the new normal state.

Foreign guests are completely banned from leaving accommodation establishments during their stay there and they have their body temperature measured daily.

Another requirement is that buffer rooms must be set up in each accommodation facility for use once a suspected COVID-19 case is detected there.

Having re-opened since November 20, preparations for welcoming international guests at the Son Tra District-located Da Nang Golden Bay Hotel have been completed.

This is one of the five accommodation establishments to have been allowed to serve foreign guests.

Till date, 100% of the hotel staff, four hundred people, have fully vaccinated and tested for the virus every two days.

One of the total twenty-four floors is earmarked for medical isolation areas whilst two more adjacent floors are kept vacant for the sake of COVID-19 prevention.

It is expected that most international visitors arriving in Da Nang in the coming weeks will be from such key markets as the Republic of Korea (RoK) and Japan, plus overseas Vietnamese returning the homeland to visit their relatives.
