Schnicnac Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 Hello fellow Thailand travellers, I have a few questions regarding the application for Thailand Pass and visa extension: if I travel on a visa exempt (30 days) or tourist visa and eventually may plan to extend it for another 30 days, what flight and accommodation details to initially file during the Thailand Pass application? 1) My understanding is that during application you only have to provide the arrival flight details (date, flight number) and only give an estimated date of departure, so in that case you could put a date 60 days after the arrival date and this would be okay (as visa exemption for example is only valid for 30 days and would need to be extended when in Thailand)? The insurance coverage would need then also to correspond to this latest departure date (e.g. 60 days after arrival)? 2) How about hotel bookings when planning to stay for 60 days (in different places in Thailand): do bookings for all these different stays already need to be provided during the Thailand pass application or just the first few nights? 3) For the blue zone sandbox scheme (e.g. travelling to Bangkok) being vaccinated and with stays 21 days before in low risk countries, does this work essentially like the sandbox that you can travel within the city and then after 7 days you can head to other destinations? Thanks!
ubonjoe Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 1. You only need to put your intended arrival date. You do not need to upload you flight details. 2. The only hotel reservation need is the one you do the quarantine or the 1 night needed for test and go. 3. The sand boxes are only for those that are fully vaccinated but not from a listed country that can do the test and go. You can leave the hotel if doing the 7 day quarantine in a sand box after getting a negative corvid 19 test. 1

So for 3) means we should have stayed only in the listed countries (e.g. 10 days in Spain, then 15 days in UAE) just before our arrival and being vaccinated (with toddlers being exempted if the parents are vaccinated)? And while for example staying in BKK for the first 7 days, as long as the test after arrival is negative we can go around BKK for sightseeing and then leave BKK for other destinations after completion of the 7 days?

That is correct.
