Hello Everyone, I would like to bring my Thai Girlfriend to the US for a visit. I seek advice about which visa she would be most likely to obtain and any other advice that would be useful to support a successful application.

We have been together for about a year and 4 months. I have emails from the beginning of our relationship, photos of her and I together, reciepts for western union money transfers, hotel reciepts etc.

She lives near Udon, and is currently enrolled in english and computer classes full time. She is also the primary caregiver of her four younger sisters. She is currently working to have the home they live in transferred into her name.

I am a US resident, working for a major corporation.

Any advice you can help with would be greatly appreciated!

Your working for a major corporation, sending Western Union to her, length of your relationship, etc. all work against you. The last thing you want to do is to appear that this girl depends on you.

Unless she has a good job and assets in Thailand to return to, frankly you can forget about it.

I'm talking specifically about a tourist visa -- not a fiancee one.

For a tourist visa, her chances would be better if she claimed to have no ties to the US at all. That is what they are looking for: someone who is not going to be tempted to stay on illegally. Someone with no real job or assets in Thailand, and with a rich boyfriend in the US...forget about it.

this is for a Girl friend's visa.

what about wife / fiance /

Suggestions for 'Thai visa agency'?

my previous experience with the wife visa process ( Taiwan '81 ) is that each 'blank' must have the answer the immigration folks are looking for .. exact word choice and option selection is very improtant.

the immigration officer expressed surprise when we presented the wife visa application to the US official .. she stated very few applications were completed properly.

visa was approved on first pass .. granted in Taiwan & she a college grad with a legit export company work history.
