Honda Touch Up Paint

Recommended Posts

I tried looking up where to get paint for your jazz. The best thinl I can suggest is if it just a minor area most Honda dealers will carry either a Paint stick or a 1 ounce(maybe in grams here) paint touch up bottle.

Keep in mind if the car is more than 6 months old exposed to sun all the time it will fade a tad. if you find only put a very little paint on the area & see if it matches succsesive coats will make it darker. the paint stick is a little trickier to use. Remember to clean the area very well first.

Try the nearest honda dealership & they should have it or order for you . Bring the car in so they can get the serial numbers for the paint code within the serial number .

Good luck . You should post where you live & someone will be able to give you a more specific location. I live in Pattaya & the honda dealer is towards Pattaya nua on Sukimvet.

They should be able to get your touch up paint if not in stock, Try cleaning the area with mek (thinner style cleaner at homemart homepro homeworks or the bigger chain hardware stores. if they do no carry methyl ethyl keytone MEK use a high grade of alcohol that they carry(not karosene)Sorry about the misspelling.

I used to paint Car Trucks Buses Motorcycles Boats & Planes in the U.S. the paint will Adhere real good as I am a little skeptical what the paint is made out of here, a lot of shops paint with Gasoline as a thinner for The enamel jobs . While it is acepteable(it will work) it is not preferable.

I wonder if the paint is a derivative of some of the rotgut whiskeys up here!

Well, I managed to get some paint, but it appears that it is not normally available. I went to my local honda showroom and they told me to go to Honda automobile on Sukhumvit Soi 66/1. They don't sell it, nut kindly gave me a small amount in a glass bottle FOC.

Interesting thing is they used to give you touch up paint with your new car (example my isuzu 10 years ago). However the car companies are always looking to save money here and there and they dont do it anymore. When I bought my Triton I made a point of asking for touch up paint (thinking when they change the model range around, colours change and its more difficult to get the colour). Anyway they gave it to me in an M150 bottle :o

Yea Maichai,

Every time I bought a new truck in the U.S. They always give you a smsll bottle Or a paint stick. Even the used cars I would buy to sell more than 1/2 of them had paint in the glove box! Sad.

Karen glad they could se you right!

My Honda dealer thought I was mad when I tried (with my wife0 to explain and ask for the same, but in white. I think I'll try to get some in the UK and bring it back (for me, not to start a business).

Touch-ups will always be noticeable. Does the yellow on the jazz have a clear coat on it? if not it would be easier to blend in a touchup than if it has a clear coat. I also have a honda, but foupd that it was easier to just get sections resprayed once I got a few small dents and marks. My insurance covered all of it and came out looking like new.

danone, this was only for a small scratch on the bumper. The car is only a couple of months old, so I wanted to touch it up. But, for future reference, how do I find a body shop? Are there some that you know of?

those body shops are all over. ask your insurance company, they can recommend you some in your area.

i'd wait though to get the pain diminished, because sooner or later there will be more visible marks on the bumper.

on my recent first trip with my spanky new car the same happened.

it is impossible to keep a car in thailand in nearly-perfect shape. too much gravel and stuff on the roads.

you have to live with it, its as simple as that.

then, in a year or two, do those paint jobs. as said, they're done well here and are not too expensive.

Honda Petchburi (corner of Petchburi and Asoke) do good body work. Avoid Honda Sukhumvit (Sukhumvit and Ekamai) for any type of service as they are not competent to do anything besides a basic oil change (and barely even that).
