Living In America

I met James Brown in Augusta Georgia twice in 1997, when he lived in Aiken, SC. I was working on a project and he frequented this British pub they had there down by the river (I forget the name of the place, but it had a red tele booth outside and looked quite authentic). One evening he showed up in a big limo with a big-busted black chick who was obviously his ‘date’ for the evening. He would get quite plastered there.

How about this arrangement, bobandyson.  Shelter From The Storm live at Hughes Stadium, Ft. Collins, Colorado in May of '76.

I grew up in Ft. Collins, and went to several concerts at Hughes (post '76), but somehow missed this one. I was still living there in '76, I must have been in a fog at the time...I left there for the Bay Area in '89.

The Animals with House Of The Rising Sun recorded on 18 May '64 off of their '64 self-titled debut LP.

This is the best version of this song, IMO..

LB, don't worry, it's impossible to keep up with it all, Too many posts to listen to every song. Look at the thread like a box of chocolates, pick out your favourites whilst giving unknown confectioneries an occasional nibble.

Another one I forgot, but will add to my playlist.

Far Away Eyes

I love this mock 'country song'...."I was so pleased to be informed of this, that I ran twenty red lights in his honor...." - classic.

I never attended a single concert at Hughes but did enjoy many football games. The most memorable one was on Halloween night back in the early 90s where there was an entire keg snuck into the student section.

NOTE: Hughes no longer exists.

I did attend a few concerts at Moby Gym over the years with this group being my last one.

NOTE: This is perhaps my favorite Colorado band and in this video they are playing the top outdoor venue I ever had the privilege to attend several times.
