What's the point in giving 1/3rd of the dose if 2 full doses of the thing is proving to be next to useless in terms of transmission?  Since kids do not get seriously ill it's a pointless and unnecessary risk to use kids as stab vests in a misguided attempt to protect adults.

Pfizer are trialing this now on 2-5 year olds.  This is madness and it really needs to stop.

Because 1/3rd of the dose is mitigating the risk of heart inflamation whilst still giving some protection; that is better than nothing. Are all the countries implimenting this kids policy wrong? Some kids are getting seriously sick with Omicon and Pfizer, even at a small dose, is giving some protection until a better 2nd generation option becomes available.

I don't know about the booster but the First 2 shots being given out in Pattaya was done very well, credit where credit is due. Huge amount of nurses given the vaccines and very little waiting time, in and out within the hour.

But where to go for the boosters?

Surely, given the fact it's a serious virus which will kill some people and there's now plenty of data from numerous other countries, it's very irresponsible to wait 2 weeks.

Possibly right. I was trying to explain what their logic might be. The problem is if you take early measures and they work in reducing deaths and hospitalisations then there will be people saying the measures weren't needed.

"Those who have applied and been granted the Thailand Pass can still enter the country under the Test and Go programme until January 10, 2022, as per the previous announcement."

And the rules change again.....

"He also said that the government extended the deadline for the arrival of the travelers who had earlier applied to the now-suspended Test & Go country entry scheme. The new deadline is on Jan 15 instead of Jan 10."

Imagine that. Revised and changed date of review again - maybe.

This continuing hand wringing, rhetorical-based angst and back-n-forth proposals for entry protocol does a disservice to all parties.

Make a plan, pick a program and go with it - regardless of the current [mild] strain making it's way worldwide or the possibility of other developing mutations that might or might not manifest. Vaccination programs and societal mitigation practices holding.

Seems to me, that after some two years, that we have yet to develop the learning skills to live with the Covid Cooties.......which is not that threatening/deadly to the masses. Accepting the variety of forms and learning to live with it safely would do our souls well.

This collective and overt paranoia - the world over - will kill ya before Covid does.

The very same government stated just last month , no going back and will have to learn to live with it once majority are vaccinated.

nice 360 spin to come back to where we started

I am guessing more promises of help to people and businesses with nothing to give

It is the bizarre, reactionary behavior of extreme cowards, who should not be attempting to run a nation.

Telling people to do ATK going do jack if they don't report them. Thai rules on quarantine by state do nothing to encourage people to report covid unless they are I'll enough to seek medical attention. They haven't a clue on the true situation.

They might be watching SA where people aren’t told to test any more and the tracer app is no longer used, people are told to self isolate for 5 days then wear a mask for 3 and to seek medical assistance if symptoms get worse

Omicron seems to take countries to 3 times their previous peaks or more. So 60,000 cases a day is coming within a couple of weeks but the government is giving itself a month to monitor the situation.

They don't like testing so they wont get to those levels officially.

That means fewer cases of young boys having their hearts explode.

Quite right. Children do not need a vaccine, especially one not fully tested. They need to build natural immunity just like we did as kids. If someone caught the measles everybody else visited to get it.

The need for which has been  removed now by the MMR vaccine. Go figure....
