Thailand’s Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health has accepted 59 young children infected with COVID-19 for medical treatment and care since the outbreak of the Omicron variant, according to Director-General of the Medical Services Department Dr. Somsak Akksilp.

 

46 of the children have been placed in home or community facilities, under the care of the institute, because they exhibited mild or no symptoms, he said, as he offered an assurance that all the children are being cared for properly.

 

Referring to three symptomatic babies, Dr. Somsak said that their condition is improving satisfactorily.

so the headline is nonsense - 46 are not in hospital care, no indication of how sick the others are - I suspect not very

For a young child this kind of isolation, probably unnecessary, is frightening and possibly  cruel

Young girl next door has been coughing her lungs up for the last 2 days.... she was at home playing with 3 friends all last week and over the weekend, not seen them either.

Poor little mites ... how scary to be sick and away from their mum's
