snoop1130 Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 BANGKOK (NNT) - Health authorities have expressed concern over media reports of parents with Covid-infected children having been turned down admission to hospitals, and are calling on all hospitals to take in child patients first and then contacting the Department of Medical Services to receive assistance from its network. Department of Medical Services director-general Somsak Akksilp expressed his belief that child Covid patients will increase in number, due to the fact that children aged 11 and under have yet to be vaccinated. He said the liquid form of the Favipiravir medicine is being procured in anticipation of the rise in child patient numbers, and experts will be providing advice to carers of children in home isolation or community isolation. Meanwhile, hospitals are being told to take in child patients and then ask for assistance from the network of the Department of Medical Services so parents do not have to drive around to find a healthcare facility with enough beds. Dr. Somsak said children under 1 year of age should be taken to the doctor if their test result comes out positive. Pediatricians are being stationed at each hospital to evaluate whether a child Covid patient needs hospital treatment. Dr. Somsak said not all child patients need to be hospitalized, noting that there were currently only 7 child patients who were suffering from severe COVID-19 symptoms. The director-general said the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration has been asked to prepare a children’s zone at each community isolation center. 100 beds are now being prepared for critical child Covid patients in Bangkok. -- © Copyright NNT 2022-01-12 - Aetna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. Popular Post huangnon Posted January 13, 2022 Popular Post Posted January 13, 2022 Ramping up fear & hysteria and thus manufacturing consent for children (who have virtually zero-risk from Covid) to be jabbed with the myocarditis-inducing Pfizer vaccine. Great job. 3 1 1
new2here Posted January 13, 2022 Posted January 13, 2022 What I don’t like when it comes to this - or any type of government regulation if you will, is lack of clarity and specificity.. I don’t want “recommended that…. suggested to…” things like such… in government regs I want terms such as “it is mandatory that …” or a person/business may not.. this way it’s far more clear what is and is not permitted and therefore an entities compliance can better be determined.
