BANGKOK, Jan 12 (TNA) – Officials did not try to cover up the epidemic of the African swine fever (ASF) and the Department of Livestock Development had seriously tried to prevent it since its outbreak in China in 2018, Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister Chalermchai Sri-on said.

 

He said that as the director-general of the department announced the detection of ASF yesterday (Jan 11), officials concerned would intensify disease response efforts nationwide to quickly control it.

 

Besides, the government already reported ASF detection to the World Organization for Animal Health so that member countries would be aware of the situation in Thailand, Mr Chalermchai said.

Of course he does, that’s what they do: deny, deflect and blame someone else. Any cabinet member, including Dear Leader, would deny having stolen cookies even if they were caught with one hand in the cookie jar and the other hand wiping the crumbles from their mouth.

Have another look at the name of the person (Chalermchai Sri-on) making the statement. I think you'll find it's NOT the guy (Thamanat Prompow) that spent time in jail in OZ for smuggling heroin.
