Hello, I'm looking at those common Tower Pro micro servo's. SG90, for example. On stepper motor controllers, you can turn off the stepper when you're done with the movement, this lower wasted power since the stepper coils can de-energize.

That does not appear to be possible with servo motors - if they're powered, the coils of the servo are energized. They're typically powered from the Arduino itself. So to conserve power, you might need to use a relay to power off the 5V line when not in use?

Thanks.
