My wife (vaxxed and boosted)  is scheduled to return to Thailand from Europe next month, and we're trying to figure out what the regulations are regarding her arrival.

She currently is booked on KLM to fly into Suvarnabhumi, but she doesn't want to quarantine in an ASQ hotel (been there, done that).  So she is now considering the Krabi sandbox, but some things remain unclear:

  1. Does the connecting flight from Suvarnabhumi to Krabi need to be booked through KLM?  Or can it be booked directly with a Thai airline?
  2. What forms need to be completed before arrival?
  3. What are the risks if she tests positive on arrival at Suvarnabhumi or a few days later in Krabi?
  4. How many days would she have to remain in Krabi before being able to depart on land to her home province?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can provide some insight.  ????

1. You cannot transit to Krabi via Bangkok

2. Thailand Pass

3. She will be shifted to Hospital or Hospitel

4. It was 7 days last time I checked but the rules can flip flop without warning.

Book an air ticket from the UK or Ireland to Phuket *

[Currently, domestic transit flights are still not allowed. Therefore, it is recommended to book an international route to enter your final destination in Thailand.]

So the only people who can use the Krabi sandbox are those whose flights arrive internationally?

Are there many international flights arriving at KBV at the moment?

So the only people who can use the Krabi sandbox are those whose flights arrive internationally? - Yes, you have to land to Krabi directly from overseas(Ex. London to Krabi on a direct flight)

Are there many international flights arriving at KBV at the moment? -No

You're best bet will be to use Phuket sandbox, there are tons of flights coming to Phuket from diff parts of E.U.
