The chief of a community farming group said that he is frustrated by continuing delays to sort out wrangles concerning the precise legal status of marijuana and hemp.

Natcharat Kritton appeared in front of a banner proclaiming the economic benefits of growing marijuana, hemp and krathom.

He said that a thousand projects were ready to grow and supply hospitals and research groups with the plants that was a "golden economic opportunity."

The Siam Rath story came as a crucial meeting between the Ministry of Public Health and a Narcotics Control Board sub-committee was postponed yesterday, as reported elsewhere in Thailand.

The meeting would be held today, suggested health minister Anutin Charnvirakul

He is right, on the paper it seems relatively easy to apply for a license. But in reality it is not unless you have influential connections, money or both.

Just hope other like him will speak up and reveal the scam Anutin is telling the people to believe.

Sir you can plant all the .2% THC weed you want now....What's to complain about?....

Be thankful for small blessings.

If the whole country is growing hemp, then the better stuff is more easily hidden in plain sight.

I can't believe the RTP would be any more successful spoting that than they are riders without helmets, drunk drivers, and other scoff-laws.

Envision swarms of brownshirts covering the country clutching cases full of chemical test kits. Not gonna happen.
