Motorcycle Taxi Insurance.

Does anyone know if a person on a motorcy taxi is injured in an accident and needs to have hospital treatment will have to pay for it their self, or are they covered by the motorcy's insurance, if any?

Should be some sort of compulsory insurance thats needed to pay the road tax.

So you are not covered then, I thought as much.

All motorcycles in Thailand are NOT insured and that includes those Moto taxi so use them at your peril..

There's lots of don't know until it happens in Thailand.

How would you know the answer to your question until the situation arises.

If my truck hit the motorcycle taxi with a passenger whoever my insurance would pay for there care. 

If it was the Taxi motorbike fault the passenger would be covered by CTPL.

As for costs go for falangies in that situation who knows where that would lead.

Funny ! I pay almost 20,000 THB for just one of my bikes, to an insurance company, but I am not insured ?

I have a scooter and a "big bike" both have class 1 insurance.

It depends if the taxi has orange plates this means he has the more expensive tax\insurance, i think there's some cover in this case. Don't get on a taxi bike with white plates, many around in Pattaya
