Bangchak Corporation Plc (BCP), one of Thailand’s leading energy firms, unveiled its investment in Transitus Energy, a hydrogen-focused energy start-up based in the United Kingdom, as part of green business expansion.

Chief executive Chaiwat Kovavisarach said that Bangchak’s subsidiary BCP Innovation (BCPI) has signed an initial agreement with Transitus, with BCPI acquiring 40 per cent of stake.

“Bangchak is advancing our policy of investing in world-changing businesses,” Chaiwat said, adding that the investment will support the world’s transition to zero greenhouse gas emissions over the coming decades.

This article is little more than a report of Thai investment in a foreign company in expectation of a good financial return.
