One in custody - three at large - after 182 baht gold robbery in north west Thailand

INN reported that police had detained one man - Worapong Saethao - after Sundays armed raid on the Krung Thep Gold Shop in Phopphra police jurisdiction in Tak, north west Thailand on Sunday.

 

He admitted his involvement.

 

Warrants are also out for three of his associates for armed robbery using a conveyance and weapons offences.

 

They are Toei Saethao, Kheu Saethao and Wichai Saewang.

 

Three men committed the robbery while a fourth arranged the vehicle and guns, say police.

 

The media said that police suspect the three remaining men have slipped over the border into Myanmar.

 

Deputy commender of the RTP  Pol Gen Suchart Theerasak was taking a personal interest in the case calling a meeting of all involved to try and solve the crime.
