Naew Na reported that Muang Phitsanulok police responded after two pick-ups collided on the Phitsanulok to Lomsak Road.

Dead at the scene from multiple injuries was 46 year old Phitsanulok lawyer Niti Subin.

His Triton had sideswiped a Ford Raptor while lane changing, smacked into a road speed sign then hit a lamppost before coming to rest by the side of the road.

He needed to be cut out of the driver's seat by rescue services.

Raptor driver Sanan, 74, said he was hit while travelling in the central lane when the other pick-up changed lane abruptly.

He would/should be turning. You get in the center lane before, say, tuning into Makro or Index, which you see in the picture.  That is in theory. It does not mean either of them was doing that. Highly aggressive & unsafe drivers will use it to pass traffic. Not that their are any those in P-loke ------------------------ ????, but you know that already

Avoiding the idiots in the inner & outer lanes.... didn't work though as one still managed to find him.

Possibly avoiding the motor cycles driving the wrong way on the hard shoulder by giving them a wide berth and undertaking a slow moving bus that refuses to move in from the outside lane  ????

And will not stop. Ever.

Unfortunately you are right and it is looked upon as a form of population control......death and becoming a Darwin award winner in the way you died.
