You need to qualify why the Ukraine war threatens any NATO country before I agree with you.

Far as I know, NATO was not set up to police the world, and that certainly wasn't true during the Vietnam war, when even Britain didn't get involved, nor during the Afghan war, which directly involved Russia.

Does it not matter that the war threatens Ukraine sovereignty? It doesn't threaten NATO because , well NATO. Ukraine will soon be a NATO country. Finland and Sweden wouldn't join NATO if they didn't believe they were threatened. They were against it before the war.

The Russian army is looking for new cannon fodder for their botched war in Ukraine. Now, Russia has one of the highest suicide rates in the world, it currently ranks number 9 in the world (https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/suicide-rate-by-country), so maybe they can persuade those poor souls to give their lives for mother Russia.

Ukraine war: Drone downed over Russia, Moscow says

A Ukrainian drone has been shot down by Russian air defences, Moscow says.

The drone came down in the town of Kireyevsk - some 400km (249 miles) from the Ukraine border - on Sunday, the defence ministry has said.

Russia state media is reporting that at least three people had been injured in an explosion after it was brought down.

Damage seen in the video below:

Putin should hang.

Not just Putin. He and his cronies have poisoned the country and led it down the path to fascism. Not sure if there’s any recovery from that any time soon, even if Putin and his clique were to be removed.

Russian colonel that ordered criminal attack on Mariupol Drama Theater identified:

Apparently this guy also gave the order to bomb the maternity hospital, and the children’s hospital in Mariupol. Scumbag.

All these despicable Russian war criminals need to be identified and brought to justice, one way or the other.

Forever war, and the Russian populace seems to have swallowed the lie about the invasion/ conflict being an existential fight for Russia itself.

But what will Russia do if they lose Crimea? Nuke Ukraine?

This is more cheering. Two panellists tell the others to face reality that the war is going nowhere.

Not a promising future for Boris and Viktor, defenestration comes to mind.

If they didn't want to lose they should not have started it!

I never said they would lose, and short of NATO joining in I think it will end in a negotiated settlement.

Eventually, IMO, it will become politically impossible for western nations in a financial crisis to continue pouring money into Ukraine, and then it's game over for Ukraine, unless they do negotiate.

IMO all Russia has to do is hold on and wait.

And if the west don't continue to fund Ukraine and end this war without Russia getting the upper hand then it will be game over for the west as Russia steamrollers into each country in turn!

I think i will get bipolar disorder after reading this thread.

The same people say that Russia is almost defeated, no rockets left, the armor is rusted WW2 junk, the solders are untrained drunks, Ukranians are gods of war and exchange 1 their solder to 10 Russian, NATO will steamroll Russia in 2 weeks and only nuclear weapon keeps Russia safe, sanctions are working and Russian ruble will crash soon, all men avoiding draft fleeing to Thailand, etc basically Russia is done.

And then i see these posts from the same people, if Ukraine falls it is game over for the West because Putin wont stop and will take Poland, Estonia, Latvia, etc (nobody explains with what and how, just somehow it will happen).

So which is it mate, cant you pick a side?

Its pretty obvious which side the poster has picked. Russia needs to be defeated and kicked out of Ukraine.

How long can Putin wait?

"Now, however, sanctions are finally beginning to strangle the Russian economy in ways that could set it back for years. Laura Solanko of the Bank of Finland recently described how Russia is undergoing “reverse industrialization” in which the military-industrial complex driven by war needs crowds out the consumer economy, as in Soviet times. “Russia is stuck ineluctably on a path to lower potential growth and a bleak economic future,” Solanko wrote on March 27."  https://finance.yahoo.com/news/putins-getting-nervous-about-russias-sinking-economy-201143630.html

waste of time, energy and money trying to bring them to justice,.... better, easier, cheaper way is to do to them what they did to the Ukrainians ....
