Popular Post webfact
The Russian Embassy in Bangkok has warned outsiders, including Thais, not to volunteer to fight against Russian forces in Ukraine, saying that they will be regarded as mercenaries and will not be protected or treated as prisoners of war in accordance with the international human rights laws if they are captured. Moreover, they would face legal action, said the embassy, quoting the Russian Defence Ministry in its Facebook page yesterday. While the Ukrainian Embassy is appealing for foreign volunteers to fight for Ukraine, the Russian Embassy claims to have received many letters from foreigners living in Thailand and Thais expressing support for Russia, with some even saying they are prepared to fight alongside the Russian troops. What a crock! If so, they are confused; those letters meant to go to Ukraine embassy. On warning people not to fight for Ukraine, go and do one Russian Embassy! Talking legal action and suchlike. Are you serious? Just pathetic. Seriously, go and do one!!

Popular Post spidermike007
Russia has lost the tiny bit of moral authority it might have once had. And they are obviously very scared and shocked the war is not going as planned. Anyone and everyone who is interested, should join the fight. Ukraine is fighting back, and the young Russian soldiers are demoralized by having to slaughter civilians, especially women and children. Not to mention a lack of supplies, extremely poor planning, a twisted and corrupt military, an unhinged leader, and a broken down, nearly 3rd world nation, that can ill afford a prolonged war. Russia is a desperado pariah state. Paying attention to international treaties is not expected of them. After all, the place is run by a heinous serial killing, thieving, multi billionaire dictator, who may be insane. Popular Post Srikcir
Insanity - Russia attacks a peaceful country unprovoked, bombards civilian residences and commercial business, schools and other public places without any regard to injury or death, attacks a nuclear electrical power station, etc. but claims international law in treatment of any resistance. Popular Post Tropposurfer
I wish i had the luxury of being right and understanding what is happening and motivates the players in this horrific sequence of events unfolding but while I like to 'think' I do, I do not. I rest my opinions and position partially of the direct conversations I have had with educated, worldly Russian friends who tell me Putin IS a neo-Stalin of the 21st century. A despot who has taken the entire nation away from the budding integration, post- USSR, back into a dictatorial, terror based, totalitarian regime, and that despite the rhetoric that the West 'made him do so', he has done this systematically, obsessively, deliberately over twenty years and that this was always his intention and an intrinsic part of the his paranoid, ultra-nationalist, megalomaniacal world view. I posted something about the Ukraine and Russian fighting the other day and got a reply saying that the Russian action are justified because NATO "stole" Russian land 30 years ago! Needless to say I did not respond to the historically totally inaccurate lunacy of that message lol ???? The old Biblical saying about; casting ones pearls before bovines' comes to mind. 10
