Why getting rain on my head in Bangkok always make me sick (flu like symptom, body ache, headache, etc)?

Hi,

 

I've been in many countries. Only rain in Bangkok makes me sick (flu like symptoms). The only way to prevent the sickness is to quickly wash my head/hair right away. I wonder why this is the case. Does Bangkok air have a special kind of flu that gets activated when combining with the rain and our head skin? ???? Anyone experience this or have a better way to deal with it?

I think this is why Thais put plastic bags over their heads in the rain - to stop flu symptons rather than just not have wet hair.

The rain in BKK--or anywhere else--has never caused me to get sick.  You get the flu from a virus, not the rain.

Patrick, more likely a weakened/sensitive immune system and rain disturbing bacteria and other nasties on the ground and getting them in the air. Why getting sick more in Bangkok? Tropics and perhaps just more nasties.
