Booster (3rd Vax) Pranburi health center

Featured Replies

I accompanied my wife to the local municipal center health office Vax clinic yesterday. She got an AZ booster for the Sinovac & AZ first shots. They wouldn't give her Pfizer or moderna, probably because a few busses of school kids came and all of them got Pfizer.

I took all my papers in the hopes of getting a Pfizer booster to follow my first two Pfizer shots at Bangkok Hospital Huahin 5 1/2 months ago.

Incredibly, I got it easily. It took over 3 hours of waiting but it was organized and efficient. I checked all my info on everything they filled out and handed me. I ended up with a single sheet showing Vax info with QR code. I'm to take it to the government Huahin hospital to have it officially added to my Vax booklet. I'm told that will be done immediately. It took a month after the first two shots to get the booklet, but went smoothly. They took pains to inform me that I could get a second booster in a month if I felt the need. I won't but may do so in a few months depending on the situation here.

For the record I've had zero effects from all three shots except for a slightly sore arm at the injection site.

Although I'm the first to critique government operations I have to say that all my vaccine appointments were well organized, efficient, and professional. This would be a 'real' country if all government functions went this well.

Like so many things here you "pays your money and takes your chances and hopes for the best". Sometimes it works out.
