The crash, which happened at 1 am near Saphan Taksin bridge, resulted in the death of the refugee and minor injuries for Pornmet. Two days later and police said they were still awaiting the results of the breathalyzer test to see if Pornmet was driving under the influence.

Lack of confidence.... I wonder why?

The red bull manslaughter case was a policeman .

This current case is  a 77 year old woman that will carry no weight in any need for compensation .

Was Khun Boss charged with manslaughter ?

I thought this current case was a 42 yr old Pakistan man.

My 2 cents: The accident location is a death trap with scooters going 10-90kph changing lanes to continue straight on Taksin Road - combined with 120kph+ cars who either wish to take the exit or go straight. (130-160+kph'ish at 1 am and empty roads).

The damage on the Taycan does not look too bad, so I think the speed was not extreme and the Scooter driver was either going very slowly or no helmet/fastened helmet.

I hope the alcohol test + plenty of cameras will prove who was at fault.

Which is unusual, mainly because I read that they did a blood test on him, not a breath test.

Something's lost in translation here.

I guess instant reading breathalyzer test technology has not arrived here yet.  Maybe they can find one on Lazada.

It takes the pigs two days, read correct   T W O   D A Y S  - without conclusion yet (or published) for which Somchai in Buriram or Somsak along Friendship Highway near Khon Kaen takes 15 seconds.

Could the delayed reading and/or publication of the reading have anything to do with some financial issues? As the Pakistani per se is a low life below the dirty farang, alien etc. there would be no lengthy price bargaining over the bounty.

But if you want to know how things work, then look up the recent handling of that "Tangmo" incident which apparently got settled out of court. The Red Bull darling's case will fizzle away into thin air come September this year and people wonder, why the trust in all this is apparently hitting an "all time low". As long as there is either no public prosecution at all or heavily biased experts at the helm ....

What a hopeless farçe, what a shame and what a loss of face for Thailand. While its people and the country per se would be OK, the authorities entrusted with law and order .............. You're welcome!

Amazing how the RTP came up with a confirmed DNA result for the 2 migrant workers in the Koh Tao case in less than 24 hours (which I understand was not physically possible at that time) but it takes more than 2 days for a breathalyzer test result when those are available within a few seconds of blowing?

Clearly the fix is already well in on this one. We all know how this will go but will be entertaining to watch the BS show anyway.

Thanks. Well at least he's honest. Yet still being attacked by the English press, like the Redbull guy was. These people seem more obsessed with bringing down the rich rather than caring about the deceased.

These type of rich rich should indeed be brought down preferably by being chopped off at the knees

They are waiting to  see how big and how many brown envelopes are passed out before releasing the test results.  It takes time to count all that money.

Increase in salary didn't seem to help the good folks at Customs.

Amazing Thailand indeed.

They really are taking the public for right mugs. Unbelievable.

They take them for mugs because they are happy to be treated as mugs.  Time and time again these things happen... time and time again nothing happens and Thais just collectively shrug their shoulders and say they cannot do anything.

This is suggesting the rich guy was at fault. We don't know that.

In the OP it stated that the young man admitted responsibility, so yes, we do know that.

Looking at this picture it's easier to understand how the accident may have occurred.

Combined with night time, poor lighting, the Porsche driver under the influence of alcohol (reported today)...

Of course, now that the information has been released that the Porsche driver has over the legal DUI limit the accident is of course his fault.

BUT... it has to be said, the design of the roads in Thailand is often so atrocious there is no consideration to the safety of the motorists.

It sometimes as if the roads are designed by people who do not drive / ride.

Sept 2022 for the alleged cocaine use.

Sept 2027 for the alleged reckless driving charge.

are these people for real or just joking around with other people's life and cover ups .... breathalyzer takes a couple minutes to detect not 2 days, if and really if there was a blood test, one could expect it to take an eternity.... and they wonder why the trust in their corrupted institution is so low
