I want to do the TM30 when arriving in my town Amnat Charoen. Has my landlord go with me or can i go alone?

 

You can do it alone , but its better if the landlord fills the form out himself and provides his I.D card 

It will depend on the requirements of the local immigration office, and what paperwork you have available. In theory you can file as the property possessor if you have a lease, copy of blue book etc.

In jomtien I did with copies of my landlady's ID card and home chanote. The immigration lady just looked at the ID card and asked me is she the owner. I said yes. And done. And the landlady is my daughter's mother. I did it alone with a lease.

I thought the TM30 had basically been scrapped and no one cared anymore.

Tm28 has been scrapped

TM30 still required, at most immigration offices you won't get an extension if you can't show a TM30 receipt.

I have never been asked for it luckily.
