Narathiwat Provincial Islamic Committee educating correct Islamic principle to locals

The Narathiwat Provincial Islamic Committee is proactively developing a better understanding with the local residents on the southern crisis.

The Deputy President of the Narathiwat Provincial Islamic Committee, Mr. Arsil Jae Mama (อาซิล เจะมามะ), says his committee has not been passive in dealing with the violence in the deep South, and it is continually explaining the southern situation as well as the Islamic principle to the local people.

He says the committee has assigned religious leaders, including Imams, Muezzins, and preachers from more than 600 mosques in Narathiwat, to explain the correct way of practicing Islam.

Mr. Arsil says he would like the Thai-Muslims to keep the faith and follows the Islamic principle as it can bring about peace in the southern region.
