BANGKOK, March 18 (TNA) – The Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration allowed water splashing activities during the Songkran festival only at specific areas, adjusted COVID-19 control zones and extended the state of emergency for disease control purposes for two months.

CCSA spokesman Dr Taweesilp Visanuyothin said the center reduced the number of COVID-19 control zones from 44 provinces to 20 provinces and increased the number of close-surveillance zones from 25 provinces to 47 provinces. It also raised the number of tourism pilot zones from eight provinces to 10 provinces.

I am so over these CCSA decrees

They obviously need to justify their existence

Why not have a perpetual State of Emergency?  555

Some restrictions should be permanent like no throwing ice, throwing only clean water, not river water. No throwing water at Cars. Motorcycles, trucks, buses or people who don't want to get wet And leave the old people alone.

How about the Policemen, surely they are fair game!

In my local town, the last time they had Songkran, the police out on the street during the parade were all soaked.

many news agencies are saying that it will be dry songkran, no any water splashing anywhere. Nothing about designated places.

Also no alcohol. But this article only says "to refrain from selling and drinking".

All confusing, contradictory

Sure. It was sweat because they had so much work, collecting 500 baht fines.

Yes cops, judges, and especially politicians are fair game.

The last in that group probably never get out of their Mercedes. There is one mayor who should, and try walking down Pattaya Klang curb and if he had any integrity, resign immediately!
