Hello everyone.

I am planning to leave Thailand for a short holiday and return again. The Thai Ministry of Foreign affairs' website sates in an FAQ:

"1. I am an expat living and working in Thailand, do I have to submit an insurance policy document?
- Yes

- Expats living and working in Thailand under a valid visa or residential permit are required to provide proof of insurance coverage in Thailand with a minimum coverage of 50,000 USD or a valid social security card or certified letter from their employer."

My emphasis added by underlining.

1) Has anyone used either a valid social security card to enter Thailand, in lieu of 20k insurance policy, and what did this involve? or

2) Has anyone used a certified letter from their employer and what was needed in the letter?

I have a work permit, and one year marriage extension, I pay social security, but have never gone about getting the social security card, as my employer provides private insurance, which unfortunately does not meet the covid requirements

Any answers would be greatly appreciated.
