Channel 5 cancels presser on Russian cooperation, to meet with Ukraine embassy

Channel 5 has canceled a press conference to announce a media partnership with contemporaries from Russia, China, and Iran, local news reported on Thursday, after blowback received by the channel earlier this week.

 

The army-run free-TV channel did not officially clarify the cancellation but members of the press reported that executives of the Thai TV channel are looking to meet with representatives from the Ukraine embassy first before having the press conference.

 

Executives from the channel met with Yevgeny Tomikhin, the Russian ambassador to Thailand, on Tuesday evening and they agreed to provide Russian news about the war in Ukraine that is based on “facts” because there is “fake news” in international media.

Why doesn't the army and the Thai elite who favor Russia, Iran, and China so much send their children to be educated in those countries? Why don't they buy soccer teams in those countries? Why not buy real estate there, instead of the West? Why don't they fly to those three countries when they want a Covid vaccine or other medical procedure?

Channel 5 think that news co-operation from Russia, China and Iran is based on facts.  Jesus wept!!

 

China is still in a state of denial to its own people about the Tiananmen square massacre.

Russia said it would not invade Ukraine 5 weeks ago and that what is happening in Ukraine is not a war.

and Iran exists in a news black hole. 

 

Thailand shame on you for even thinking this. Your people deserve truth - But in the words of Jack Nicolson - "You can't handle the truth."

 

But glad to see someone, somewhere in Channel 5  had a moment of clarity and stopped

I want to be able to see the facts, the views, and the propaganda from all points of view.

 

Only then can I make my own conclusions.

so a misleading title again  not cancelled but they will meet with Ukraine first, so it will still go ahead. Here's a bit of advice for you Channel 5, fall back on your history and try and  side with the winners, yes I know Thailand stuffed it with the Japanese, so do try to get it right this time, oh by the way Russia are losing, does that help direct you ?

Yet according to the Russian propaganda they are liberating the Ukranian people from Neo-Nazis and they are successful so far.....

What fact do you want? When Russia says it is not a war and makes it an offence to call it that, it is pretty clear to me what side is presenting true facts.

Agree, it's not easy/impossible to get unbiased news on anything nowadays (always was).
