I wanted to get Lasic in 2002.  I didn't know if this was possible or not because of my large prescription for myopia (shortsightedness).   I first went to that "World Famous" hospital in BK

I went today to this hospital and was impressed.

Which one?

A lot of interesting information and feedback.

I keep going back and forth between Lasik and IOL.  I didn't realize that Lasik caused corrective issues if cataracts develop, and I didn't consider eyesight changing past 50yr so the need for "touch ups".  I need the astigmatism corrected in both eyes and then maybe do an IOL in my left eye.

Does anyone know if correcting astigmatism cause issues with IOL implants?

Leaning back towards IOL.  Anyone have recent recommendations (doctor names and hospitals) - maybe the last 2-3 years???

I was told by Dr. Roy at Rutnin that they could indeed make calculations based on pre-Lasik and indeed he asked that I get that info. (I don't need cataract surgery yet, but as it was already 20 years I thought best to get it now so as to be sure it is available when I do). Maybe Rutnin has something Bkk Hospital does not?

Both.

TRSC specializes in refractive surgery and does only refractive surgery and is by far the best place for it in Thailand.

Ruthin is an eye hospital, treats all manner of eye diseases, cataracts etc.

My post was referring to the issue of having cataract surgery decades after having had LASIK.
