Siam Rath Thai Caption: 'Lisa' and the advertising alcohol drama

Siam Rath reported that the visit of Thai superstar Lisa of Blackpink fame to Thailand to celebrate her birthday after being absent from the kingdom for three years was creating much interest.

Not least of all because of the hot water faced by some over her appearing to promote alcohol online.

Lisa herself only got into tepid water but her fanclub Blink said yesterday in advice to Thai members:

1. Don't share pictures of the band with alcohol ads.

2. Don't post about what might me construed as promoting alcohol

3. Vaseline out any alcohol branding.

Meanwhile, hashtags relating to Lisa's visit were trending at the top of the Twitter charts.

We had/have similar rules on alcohol advertising in the UK.

No one under 25 can be shown to be drinking. There was a voluntary ban on advertising spirits for many years.
