Can any medical clinic issue a medical cert showing that someone is free from tuberculosis?

It's requirement now with VFS to get a UK visitor now.

No it isn't.

(note: VfS Global don't set ANY conditions - UKVI do).

You must be tested for tuberculosis if you are coming to the UK for more than 6 months and are from Thailand.

Your test must be from a clinic approved by the Home Office. We will not accept a tuberculosis test certificate from a clinic we have not approved.

Approved test clinic

You can make a booking by contacting the International Organisation for Migration (IOM):

Looking at those links the missus doesn't need a TB test as we're only going on holiday on a standard visitor visa.

I got thrown as I was downloading documents onto the VFS portal & there was on section for downloading your TB test certs & I assumed it was a new requirement.

Sid, your missus is good to go.

Thanks once again.

I've tried a few time to upload & save documents on the VFS site but it just times out without accepting the downloads.

Any advice?

Try using a different browser - if not already done, usually sorts out this sort of issue. Probably just a setting.

I do remember the missus getting a tb certificate when she applied, but that was on route to ILR.

Size/type  issue. I remember some had to be a certain type and size(re KB ) ?

Is there any sort of error message or just a spinning wheel?

Spinning wheel until it times out.

If I reload it drops all the files & I have to sign in again & start from scratch, I will clear my cache this evening & have a few more goes.

I don't think it's compulsory to self-load the these documents as long as the originals are brought along to the interview or I hope so at least.

Laborious, but try uploading one at a time...... at least for the first few docs.

It seems that anything connected with the civil services over here don't like pdf's.

I tried doing the downloads page by single page but still had issues so changed everything to jpegs & tried again with success but you really really need patience, I will add that I have an excellent upload & downspeed but it would still only work for me page by bloody page.

I had to log off every now & again (children at home, dinner, bedtime etc) so I now have a log of emails from vfs each with a pdf attachment (they like to dish them out) so wondering should I print the final one off for the interview?

I assume the biometrics (piccy & prints) are done at the interview.

Many many thanks for your guidance h&s!!

What you get each time when you upload documents is an updated appointment letter - that lists the documents that have been uploaded. It is best if you take the final one to the appointment; I don't know if VfS check the actual upload (I doubt it) - they are more interested in the checklist that your wife takes and signs in their presence.
