We put down a deposit on a White Seal Premium on September 29th (They released the price info at 6pm on Sept 28th) Was told will get in October or early November. Called the sales girl this morning and she didn’t know when the next premium would arrive. Ask if the Q for performance was any shorter “we have a white performance at the showroom now if you want it” 🤔

Unfortunately the handbag has to accommodate an iPhone, the one that’s as big as a surfboard.

They both give a free wall charger and installation. MG uses Prime to do the installation and they don't like(understand) Solar. BYD uses a different company (name escapes me currently) and I was assured by the dealer that having solar was not a problem.

The card was a lot cheaper than that, they had to order it from MG and when we came they spent an hour on the phone to HQ trying to get it to work, in the end they refunded us. When we took delivery of our 2nd MG I tried my non-MG car in the DC Charger, the salesperson said I was wasting my time and it wouldn’t work, but it worked like a charm. MG DC Chargers are actually another well known network in Thailand, I forget which, the secret is on the plaque with the serial number on the charger. Popular Post Pib
Regarding the wall charger talk above just because a person may have a three phase 22KW wall charger does "not" necessary mean the EV will charge at a 22KWH rate "because the EV's rectifier may not be rated for 22KW"....in fact, it could only be rated for approx 7KW single phase like the Seal, Atto, and Dolphin. For the BYD Dolphin, Atto, and Seal model their onboard rectifier is "not" rated for 22KW...instead, they are rated for single phase 6.6, 6.6, and 7KW, respectively. So, this means a 7KW single phase wall charger will charge the BYD just as fast as a 22KW three phase wall charger....all due to the EV's onboard rectifier being a single phase approx 7KW rectifier. And when it comes to DC Fast charging, the Seal is rated at 150KW and the Atto & Dolphin at 80KW. Now I have seen quite a few Youtubes which show the Atto can reach 88KW...expect the Seal might go a little above 150KW also. But a person needs to ensure the DC Fast Charger they are using can put out the required KW. https://www.ananindustry.com/byd-seal-extended-range-rwd-2023.html https://www.ananindustry.com/byd-atto3.html https://www.ananindustry.com/byd-dolphin-extended-range.html 1
Popular Post Andrew Dwyer
EV registrations for Sept 2023 in Thailand. Dolphin and Atto 3 pretty much neck and neck leading the pack, Seal likely to make a small entry in Oct chart but realistically will be Nov or even Dec before we see the full picture.
