The Da Nang Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Tourist Beaches has announced this as a drowning incident.

At about 4:15 a.m the rescue force of the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Tourist Beaches assigned search and rescue forces to find the missing man at the Sao Bien Beach, My An Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang.

At around 5:00 a.m. on the same day, the search force discovered the victim's body washed ashore by the waves.

According to initial information, the victim in the accident was the principal of a senior high school in the city.

According to a bulletin recently released by the Central Coast Hydro-meteorological Station, due to the influence of cold air, the waters off central coastal localities are witnessing scattered showers, strong winds, slightly rough sea and high sea waves.

Tourists and residents should be warned not to swim during these dangerous conditions
