INN reporters went to Phon in Khon Kaen in NE Thailand after a woman reported that a man on a motorcycle asked her for sex.

 

Fifty four year old Ampha said that she was going home from the market when a fat guy with a crew cut aged about 20-25 and 160 cms tall accosted her. He was riding a red Honda Wave.

 

He asked: "Mum, are you tired?"

 

Thinking it was a friend of her son she replied: "No, not really".

 

He then suggested that as she was not tired who don't they go and have some fun.

 

She sped off but he chased after her. To get out of the situation she pretended to converse with someone. The pervert rode off.

Phon station chief Pol Col Thanomsit Wongwijan said that in the last three days they had received five reports of the man approaching women for sex. 

 

He had not actually succeeded in getting any. 

 

INN reported that the man did not seem to care how old the ladies he approached were and even followed some and tweaked their bottoms.

 

Investigations continue.

How does he know that?

 

I doubt that anyone who agreed to his offer would report it to the police.

The guy isn't a pervert.  He's worse.  The "situation" the woman was trying to avoid could easily have turned out to be rape. 

 

It simply isn't normal to chase after someone like this.  They guy put her in fear of her safety and I think there's a case that could be made against the guy for stalking, assuming there is such an offence in Thailand.  (There must be, right?)

 

And if it's the same guy doing this to multiple women?  He's clearly got some issues and is probably a ticking time bomb.

 

The age (of either the perpetrator or the victim) doesn't matter.  When one person makes another so uncomfortable that they flee in fear of their safety, there's a problem.
