Why are you here if so bad?

Uk, us expensive

India dirty outdoor toilet

Thai islands plus Bangkok are awesome for tourists

It is a flawed study, or rather not reported correctly. When I saw India, UK, US above Thailand, I thought something is wrong, India gets far less foreigners than Thailand.

Looking at a previous full report of the study it seems the domestic travel is also included, that explains the places US and India are taking, big countries with large domestic market.

You must be joking!!!!!!!! (TAT sponsorship?????)

Nothing to do with TAT, it is a survey commissioned by Visa, they are doing it anually.

Of course the original report is getting "enhanced" by the "English teachers" turned journalists. If you read one of the original reports it is presented quite well and would be something like 15-20 pages.

No prizes for guessing the real reasons companies set up shop here

Which companies? What reasons? Please explain. Vietnam, Burma, Thailand  etc attract companies  because of the qualities of the Labour force and various economic and tax advantages.

Massage also refers to the whole-well being, spa, fitness, manicure etc businesses. It's a genuine area of business that's very profitable. The poverty stricken cynics who make negative comments or make long distance  judgement know little  or nothing about it or Thailand in general gaining there information as they do from porn sites which they view on computers in their parents basement.

Or from actually going to these wonderful places to get relief from stress????????????

700 baht 4 star rooms in krabi

200 baht massage

Range of food

Boat tours

Nice weather

I think you critics must live in some barn in issan and never seen the good stuff in thailand

Bit selective with your info, mate. I've lived here 10 years and been coming for 30.

The 200 baht for an hour massage would be Issarn, where I live. I'm in Hua Hin now and cheapest around me is 250..4 star for 700 baht? Maybe during the Covid-19 era. I looked around here and that's not even nearly the case. Check Agoda {after taxes}

Boat tours. Yep. Unique to Thailand, to visit ruined and overrun small islands.

Range of food? Depends on where you are.. And if its not Thai, its not cheap and not good unless classy restaurant .

Nice weather.? November through March.

I'm from QLD, so I can compare beaches, food, boat tours, and weather. Thailand is cheap. QLD isn't. That's the difference.

Try visit Issarn sometime as well, mate. Keow Yai, Beunkang, Mekong drives, Leoi District, etc, etc, before you put half the country down

I'm off for a 250 baht foot massage now. I'll see if they'll give me a farang discount.

Krabi is cheaper than HH. I found HH to be a rip off!

100 baht an hour in some parts of Bangkok, not tourist areas. ie Wat Worachanyawas area on the river side.

Would not have a Thai massage if it was free, last one in 2008 nearly crippled me. Too many have no, or little training in it.

That isn't my experience.....

I agree and all of the above in a one km radius. Thailand has the complete package. But it's just a matter of time before Vietnam displaces Thailand. And that includes FDI manufacturing for export.

Past performance, search results  may be high but not leading to bookings whilst TP remains. Tom yam Kung to  instill national pride? What what about mango and sticky rice?

And now it's spring leading in to summer in Europe and N. America, rainy season in LoS

Thailand isn't there yet.

Yes, no doubt that massage is the most popular thing for tourists. Just one little thing. The massage chair is usually changed for a back room with a mattress on the floor or a massage bench.

Is the propaganda machine and EV or does it run on oil?

Had lots of massages in Thailand in various cities, and ocean side

places. Fond memories.  Food is great and seeing museums and temples

on my earlies visits were enjoyable as well.  Still one of the tropical

places in the world I am glad that I visited.
