Los Angeles to Bangkok with philippine airline transit in Manila airport does need Covid insurance for philippine?

Featured Replies

Hi, as the title “Los Angeles to Bangkok with philippine airline transit in Manila airport does need Covid insurance for philippine?”. If anyone has experienced with philippine airline!  Does it need Covid insurance for philippine (not for Thailand) just to fly and transit(4 hours) in Manila airport?

thank you

Arriving in the Philippines: Register to One Health Pass (OHP) prior to arrival in the Philippines:

  • Passengers with international to domestic connections are required to register to One Health Pass (OHP) as required by the Bureau of Quarantine.
  • Passengers with international to international connections are not required to register to One Health Pass (OHP).
  • Upon arrival, all transfer passengers must approach the Transfer Desk for documentary check.

Have a family member just arrived from SFO,  on Phillippines do not need insurance you in transit!

As long as you stay airside and do not change terminals at manila, you will not need any extra paperwork.

I just returned to Bangkok from Vancouver yesterday, and I had to change terminals in Manila from terminal 1 and 2, and I didn't need to do the One health pass, or any Covid tests. Upon checkin in Vancouver, I had to show them my Thailand Pass, Vaccination certificate and medical insurance.

When I landed in Terminal 1 at manila, they pull all international transfers to one side, then escort you to the transfer desk and process everything, then they escort you to your terminal, in my case it was Terminal 2. When I got to the gates in Terminal 2, I was free to move around.
In conclusion, when transferring terminals in Manila, you don't need any extra documents.

That's not correct, just yesterday I changed from Terminal 1 to 2 and they escorted me the whole way. I didn't need any extra paper work.

Hi, just got to Bangkok yesterday.  Thank you for every suggests and comments.  And no insurance to ask as “transit flight only in Manila”.
The reason I posted the question because when I prepare documents to fly back to Thailand and happened to called philippine airline for what’s requirements for flying back to Thailand with their airline and in transite to Manila airport.  The philippine airline’s operators twice told me that I need the insurance and need philippine’s pass! which freaking me out!  And since on their web site’s information is so little to non talk about transit passengers, so I decided to call them and thought they can tell me about it.  Surely either the operators did not know about it or misunderstood my situation so they quoted me “I need insurance!”   So with common senses that I flow out Bangkok with them without insurance in stop at Manila so why should I need in flying back?  And with the comments on this Thai visa forum does help me a lot.  Thank you ???? krub.
