Pichate is the self-styled leader of the small parties, which together have 16 MPs. They are reportedly dissatisfied with their lack of Cabinet posts or other political “rewards” for joining the coalition.

Reward us or we will rock the boat?

Create trouble and we'll find a way to cast you and your 16 MPs aside.

Their history takes precedent.

Pichate claims to have exposed irregularities in recent bidding for a 30-year concession to manage and operate a 25.6-billion-baht water pipeline project in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) special development zone.

To quote Chumbawamba

”Do you suffer from long-term memory loss?
I don't remember...
Do you suffer from long-term memory loss?
I don't remember...

You sing the same old verse
Stick like glue for better or worse
What goes around comes around
Again again again

This heart pulled apart
Hydra fighting head to head
Burns are red bruises blue
Out with the old cheated by the new”

Timebomb

His main target is Deputy Finance Minister

It's always the "Deputy" ministers, or the Permanent Secretaries, who do the dirty work or embezzle the money.

Ministers and the the pm can claim they know nothing, while their retirement funds grow exponentially.

And everyone pays a tithe, so this is the way things work in the kingdom of thailand.

Seems like a good thing. Any questions that can be raised, any suspicions that can be voiced, and any lack of featly that can be demonstrated towards the ruling party, is a step in the right direction. Nobody knows the full extent of the malfeasance, corruption and dereliction of duty being committed here. No doubt it is massive. Question everything. Do not obey. Do not blindly follow the leader. Be disobedient!

How does it matter? Even if it was possible to remove Prayuth's government - those that are really in power will remain so.

Following the procedures put in place when the 'con'stitution was changed in 2018, the only way to change the real holders of power is a further change to the constitution and how do you do that if you're not in power?

The 2018 'con'stitution was a masterclass in how to disguise a dictatorship as a democracy.

In theory, perhaps.

Almost impossible in practice.
