It might not be but its very unlikely it's not.One gets a sixth sense after a time. I guess I'll shortly find out one way or the other. 1.Bureaucrats in Thailand don't communicate like that - phone calls out of the blue from a succession of different people.If it was important CW would rustle up an English speaker.My affairs are stonkingly dull and I know for a fact I have nothing that can be pinned on me. 2.Other (2) expatriates in my area have reported similar calls.The drift seems to be to attempt to scare expats about problems extending their visas. (but I don't need to extend my visa or show any money) Famous last words.We'll see. -

Etiquette at CW immigration
To do my agent-less extension I had to exit Thailand as DrJack mentions above. I used an agent for the 1st time, but then tried to do it myself and was told to leave and restart the process, which is what I did and it worked fine. I'm quite curious to see if you have to do the same thing. -

What low/medium price wine do you recommend.
I'm posting on this wine thread because it's the only one that I can remember at the moment that deals with wine – – and I need some help in this regard. In the main I order my wines through a couple of companies who deliver and who specialise in "wholesale prices" to the consumer and yesterday put an order in to "Vines to Vino" (vinestovino.com), selected my wines and paid for them by bank direct credit – – all well and good I thought. Although my funds have been paid into their bank account, I have had absolutely no luck in getting in touch with them either via email, website or by a personal phone call to the MD and I am beginning to worry that there is something drastically wrong here as they usually get back to me almost instantly after payment, to confirm my order. Perhaps they've gone bust??? Now this would be sad because I will have lost 9000 baht which I've already paid into their account. SO my question to any wine enthusiast here who has used this company before, or has knowledge of it, is: – are they still in operation? If they've done a runner after going bust, then there's not much I can do about that because my money has already gone into their account so I'm pretty well stuffed if that is the case – – any help would be greatly appreciated. -

USAID - Dems in full delusional mode as usual
Interesting to note that USAID sources food supplies from U.S. farmers, to the tune of $2+ billion per year, and that some $ 500 million in storage is at risk of spoiling now. This helps U.S. farmers, and helps balance fluctuations in supply/demand benefiting domestic grocery prices. Iowa benefits immensely so it's strange that Sen. Ernst is so anti-USAID. That she shirked her oversight responsibilities for years, and now jumped on the DOGE wagon, is disappointing. -

Footbridge in question vs at least 8 lanes and 3 ditches. This pair (one now deceased) were very anti-footbridges. I have heard many times from Thais, "Don't use footbridges, you will be robbed." It is an irrational cultural myth passed down."
