Where to buy marijuana here

Featured Replies

We've received permission to discuss this provided the talk is limited to the plant and doesn't refer to extract.

So... my very brief foray into the world of buying pot in Thailand found me at a coffee shop in Jomtien today selling grams of flower with labels like White Widow, Indica and Sativa for 500-600 baht.

That's for one gram.  500-600 baht.

I was thinking more of paying 500-600 baht for maybe an eighth of an ounce.  I'm not looking for face-melting stuff. Just basic weed, ya know?

Ideally, this would be from some source here in Thailand and the same product would always be available and for the same reasonable price.

I'm guessing that the coffee shops aren't going to be the ones who fill this niche. And now that it's legal, we should start seeing more wholesale operations springing up, yes?

So tell us about one of those if you've found one.

You sent an e-mail (presumably) in English to a Thai company run by stoners and you expected to get an answer?? You should probably aim to smoke a little bit less....

  • Why on earth would anyone want to buy the legal 'weed' in Thailand?  It is weed, but not as we know it (Jim).  It would be akin to smoking a piece of hemp rope.  It will not get you stoned and smoking

Buy the seeds, grow your own, the prices are much better. You will have to wait 4 months though.

I'm in a condo though which overlooking the ocean doesn't get any sun.

Or is the suggestion that I can buy the tent, the lamps, all of that hydro stuff here in Thailand?

It would satisfy my consistency requirements.  I'll think about it. Thanks.

That was the original fear, alas, the law permits stronger varieties.

And what I saw on sale today was not hemp rope.

Candyland in Pattaya, see facebook page. Looks pricey though.

I had plan to start weed farming in my basement in the USA but after I read more, I found that it is going to stink up the entire house. So, I abandoned the idea. Weed prices are expensive in the USA compared to Canada. In Canada I can buy a gram for $2-$3 and in the USA it is almost $20.

Would't bother.

I e-mailed them 3 days ago (I don't do Facebook) and they haven't even bothered to reply.

This.

You will only get medium quality (brick-weed) from them but the prices are a fraction of the prices that I have been seeing for higher strength bud.

They just let thousands of potential dealers out of jail, so should be easy

But going by the Google comments on Candyland, people are getting high smoking inside, must pay it a visit.

They have been open for a while, so I guess they have the necessary (police) licenses

Which law is that?  Everything I've seen so far quotes 0.02% THC which might just give a mosquito a buzz. Its Hemp - not weed.  As far as I'm aware, weed as we know it is and will remain illegal.

HLG 240 with Samsung leds, around 4800bht from Lazada.

That gives you enough room for 2 large plants (sea of green), total yield 2-4oz.

I've found most modern hybrids don't smell all that much.

I've only encountered one stinker, and that was easy enough to cure with a carbon filter.

The "brick" weed referred to tends to vary in quality, some of it can be very strong indeed and would hold its own against some of the modern strains in  my opinion, particularly regarding the length of the high. Modern commercially produced strains seem to me to produce a rather short lasting high leaving the user wanting more, especially when grown hydroponically. Whereas I generally find traditionally grown brick weed  produces a longer lasting more "rounded" high and without the desire to smoke one after the other,  Although due to the inherently hermaphroditic nature of Thai "brick" weed there can often be problems regarding the excessive amount of seeds, so its best to find a regular supplier you can trust regarding quality

A couple of years ago a kilo was available for 20k baht and we regularly scored smaller amounts of around 25 gram for 1000 baht

the place is booked to the top, many thais, some locals and tourists, joints are 200, 400, 500 per unit , dont know why the difference probably amount of weed per joint.

if you noticed shops selling weed brownies and they have been selling them for months all over pattaya, eat one brownie and the evening is over, dont know how much THC there, but they knock you out for real.

You know, the Thais wouldn't have had to ban extracts to keep me away from them, that stuff is actually dangerous, at least when you're not the one doing the extracting.

I've had my obligatory omg-ate-too-much episode and it's not fun.  And so many people don't understand the onset times, and think 30 minutes later that they need to eat more to get high.  Big sigh.

When they legalized in Colorado and we saw things like butane-extractions going explosive and cookies being eaten by little kids, I was convinced the whole exercise was about promoting Reefer Madness - The Sequel.  Thankfully I was wrong but I still think it was bone-headed to go that way.
