webfact Posted June 17, 2022 Posted June 17, 2022 Naew Na Caption: Woman goes to the police to say she was attacked by man who smoked marijuana and took TRAMADOL Some Thai media is trying its best to scare the public by associating anything with the smoking of marijuana, notes ASEAN NOW. Chief of these is Naew Na whose sensationalist approach to news bears little resemblance to the truth and should be treated with caution. Their reporters hot footed it to Muang district police station in Phitsanulok in the north of the country after a post by a woman's younger brother on a "Wanna Be Famous" site that recounted how she was attacked by a man his sister had invited to her place for a beer after they met on social media. The young man apparently smoked a joint and took tramadol with the beer. Tramadol is a powerful pain killer that can be bought over the counter though it is often restricted. It is abused in fizzy drinks by the nation's youth. Som, 25, explained to the police how she was attacked at her place then again in a vehicle that the suspect crashed when they went to get more beer. She eventually managed to get free from him and use her phone and scream for help on a balcony reported Naew Na. Picture: Naew Na She said that the initial reason that the man got angry was because she mentioned her ex boyfriend who took tramadol. This set him off, she claimed though she didn't know why. At one point he forced her onto a bed and put his hand round her mouth, she alleged. She suffered injuries to her forehead, cheek and neck and believed the man - apparently a prominent YouTuber in the area - had had some kind of panic attack. Naew Na didn't mention beer in the caption of their photo or headline - it was just "ganja and tramadol". Later the man was arrested and charged with assault though other charges may follow. He was bailed out yesterday afternoon by relatives. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2022-06-17 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. Bert got kinky Posted June 17, 2022 Posted June 17, 2022 I hope that the Thai public are wise enough to see through the propaganda that the (not so pure) purists are spewing out. 2

Agreed.... I’m seeing a ridiculous amount of news and media about negative impacts of Marijuana... I’m surprised we haven’t had masses of car accidents blamed on it... (i.e. must have been Marijuana in my soup at lunch etc)..... 3
stoner Posted June 17, 2022 Posted June 17, 2022 these stories are boring already. AN also didn't mention the beer part in their headline. 1

This website was subjecting posters to suspensions and bans if they posted anything that they considered controversial regarding Covid 19, and yet they feel justified in repeating this kind of rubbish. What purpose does it serve other than to fan the flames of "reefer madness" hysteria ! Is there one journalist or member of mainstream media anywhere with anything positive to say on this subject ? I can't help noticing that the views expressed by the media are completely at odds to the views of the majority of the general public, but seem to echo the views of a very vocal but misinformed minority. Why is that ? 3
internationalism Posted June 17, 2022 Posted June 17, 2022 so she invites a complete stranger to her apartment, drink with him beer and drives with him for more booze, allows him to smoke at her place and take illegal substances (tramadol is not an over counter medicine in thailand, it's abused by drug users) and than complains to police for an assault which apparently was a panic attack. She was also complicit in his driving under influence and crashing his car 1
Popular Post Denim Posted June 17, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 17, 2022 Next up , a crazed Putin was ok until he smoked a joint . Now he wants to conquer the world. Now if that was in the gutter press of any country it would get millions of believers no matter how ridiculous. Fight fire with fire. Put out the story that God created the universe and everything in it after becoming inspired from smoking a joint he happened upon. We owe our very existence to marijuana so naysayers put a pie in the hole. 1 4
Bert got kinky Posted June 17, 2022 Posted June 17, 2022 So absolutely nothing to do with the combination a a loose woman, a restricted drug that reacts badly to alcohol and the alcohol as a catalyst then? Glad that we cleared that up and blamed it all on the evil weed. 2
ezzra Posted June 17, 2022 Posted June 17, 2022 A sign of things to come just wait and see for the next few months-year, similar complaints involving the use of legal marijuana will be coming on strong and fast... 1
SoilSpoil Posted June 17, 2022 Posted June 17, 2022 It's known that Tramadol, in high doses, can really mess with your emotions.
Nickelbeer Posted June 17, 2022 Posted June 17, 2022 Guess we can look forward to another Tramadol ban. ????

island coconut Posted June 17, 2022 Posted June 17, 2022 If this kind of stupid story continues, "I was high on Ganja" might soon replace "My brakes failed" whenever a dump truck flattens a car. 1

In the form of ULTRACET, 37.5 mg tramadol HCL and 325 mg paracetamol. You may have to sign a non-abuse statement and not all pharmacies carry it, but it is available OTC.
