Popular Post richard_smith237 Posted June 29, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 29, 2022 It's not as if the peace and quiet is held sacred in Thailand and no authorities seem to care if the roads are kept safe. ... So this ‘outrage’ is rather hypocritical to say the least... These tools come here and behave like this because they can... if the police are to lazy and not stopping locals from behaving antisocially and riding dangerously how can they expect ayhole foreigners be stopped ???? No... Do any of these ’tourists’ who rent these motorcycles have licences ????.... Wasn’t all this supposed to be stopped years ago with the insistence on licenses to rent motorcyclist ?? Thailand - IF you want to complain, get your own house in order. IF you (Thailand) were following the regulations, these motorcycles would never be rented out in the first place to young men who very likely do *not have motorcycle licences (and with almost certainly do not have international licences to accompany a local motorcycle license (if they did have one)). Thus: renting out these motorcycles to these guys is very likely illegal in the first place. *someone (I know who) is very likely to pipe up and point out that I don’t know these guys do not have a motorcycle licence... but really, its the same pattern that has been happening for years, and when these guys lop off the top of their scull on a street sign after failing to navigate a corner the reports always say they did not have a MB licence. 4 4

Every night at the traffic lights near the Floating Market on Sukhumvit. When we complained to the police we were told to stop being a nuisance. Welcome to Thailand ! 2 1 4

No. Most adult Thais do not behave like this. The people referred to in this article are the same people who come to London to race power cars and abuse the local area. It's nothing to do with peace and quiet being held 'sacred' That hyperbole is just yet another attempt, one of a constant stream, to insult and demean Thailand and the the Thai people. In fact peace and quiet is an important part of life here. 4

Sukhumvit is a major road- a massive highway not a small street like yensabai. How did you complain to the police? Did you identify anybody? How did the police respond? In what form? 1

You are wrong. No Thais have been racing in Soi YenSabai. It's a new thing, a new crime and anti social behaviour specifically carried out by Asian and Middle East tourist. Its not just anti social its dangerous. The sooner the police clamp down on it the better just as they do with Thai joy riders 1 2

The majority of Thai adults do not race their motorbikes. It's a form of delinquency. As such the police intermittently clamp down on it just as they should with this particular 'group ' of tourists. It's noticeable its not tourists in general or European gangs but ME gangs and as such poses a different and specific problem. If you live in a noisy area just move. Spend more money on decent accommodation. Whatever your many negative experiences of Thailand and Thai people, and they seem many they do not represent the ideal or the actual experiences of most people except those who feel superior. Do you think you are superior to other people? You know? The non white little people? Do you believe you are better than them?. 2

They use the new traffic lights as their starting grid. For personal safety there is no way on this planet I am going to drive next to them and take a video, it would be suicide. Fascino do a nice line in ear plugs as the residents around here well know.

But not so important for people to refrain from making all noise possible as soon as they, themselves wish to. Just one inconsiderate individual with a booming stereo system can routinely disturb the peace of the whole village, yet no-one considers it "important" enough to do anything constructive about it. Barking dogs. roosters, angle grinding and bikes with modified exhausts are all part and parcel of normal rural life....peace and quiet not so. ???? 2
bkk6060 Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 I want to do this. Where can I rent the loudest motorcycle possible?
